The firm was started in 1990 by Deepak Shenoy, a Chartered Accountant
by profession, basically to provide a complete systems solutions
to financial clients. The solution comprised of internal control,
hardware & custom made softwares and project appraisal packages
for banks.
The firm used to sell & maintain PC's, DMP's and the
software packages till 1994. The support services included
import substitutes for spares like power supplies & other
digital boards for high-end electronic items like CNC/NC machines.
It was due to this expertise that we ventured into high end
peripherals like laserjets, deskjets, inkjets, scanners, plotters
& peripheral boards in PC's where trouble-shooting &
repairs on a component level were done, with a very high success
rate. These services also included onsite support of these
peripherals for end-users.
At that time HP was looking out for an out-source partner
to carry out support services for their clients. Our engineers,
being already fully trained, were readily absorbed in this
activity.
In 1994, 2 engineers were outsourced to HP to service HP
peripherals like deskjets, laserjets, scanners & plotters.
By 1996 the volumes in HP service centre were rising, and
new systems were being introduced. Hence a decision was taken
to concentrate on a fulltime basis on HP support and gradually
by late 1996 the 2 lines of business of multi-vender support
& the financial practice were discontinued with a view
to focus only on HP out-sourcing..
These 6 years proved that this was a good decision for the
company, as not only did the volumes go up manifold, but pace
had to be kept with the new MIS being introduced by HP, rising
customer expectations and HR management due to higher manpower
required.
Over last 6 years the firm has serviced more than 90,000
calls, and has extended service centers to in Pune, Baroda,
Ahmedabad, Nasik & Jamnagar.
With the acquired wealth of experience over the years, uncompromising
quality standard and an unending quest for providing outstanding
services to its clientele, Supra has created for itself a
defined niche in the service industry.
The firm has a considerable depth of experience in fields
of hardware & OS level (MS, Unix, Linux) support of pc's,
servers & peripherals.
